In East Africa Activation International has been teaching about the Ministry of Reconciliation--how God reconciles us (pulls us together) with Himself through Jesus Christ, and how we intentionally seek reconciliation also with one another.
The ministry of reconciliation, based on 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, is a key principle that is often overlooked: - Following Jesus’ example is much more difficult than simply following His teachings. - Forgiveness is much more difficult than quiet smoldering or outright avoidance. - Intentional unity is never the natural reaction in the midst of challenges.
The Church has been called to live out this ministry; and during our training, participating leaders exercise those “muscles” by intentionally nailing their hurts, anger, and unforgiveness to the Cross. With their actions they declare that the blood of Jesus Christ covers these sins, and with their mouths they declare their intention of forgiveness.
By the end of the seminar, all are surprised at the effects—the weight lifted from their own hearts and often a change shortly thereafter in their circumstances!
